FROM SSI president:

We are looking forward to seeing you at our meet this weekend. It is going to be sunny and we have plenty of fruitsicles to keep you refreshed. We have about 350 swimmers entered, so it is going to be a busy one with lots of divisional heats. Plenty of competition for our athletes as they get ready for Regionals.

Please note that the heat sheets have relays at the end of the package. However, we will have divisional medley and parent medley (yes medley) relays on Saturday after heats and the divisional free relays on Sunday after heats. Parents, I would start working on that Fly!

Novices will be the first heats of both days, starting at 10:00. No need to pre-register novices. It would be helpful to know numbers, so we can make sure we have enough treats.

We will have a club run concession with a variety of items at affordable prices. We know it is expensive to visit our island.

Please note that the heat sheets are likely to change a little bit with possible scratches, deck entries and combined events. We will combine events that have only a couple of swimmers. We will update to Meet Mobile whenever possible. Our meet is up on MM now.

Warm-ups start at 8:30. We cannot be on deck earlier than 8:30 due to lifeguard staffing. The facility will be open at 6:30.

Parking/Drop-Off: Please follow guidance of Parking Marshalls. Limited space available at the pool.

  • You may drop off your swimmer(s) and gear at/near main entrance to pool, then park at Gulf Islands Secondary School, 262 Rainbow Road, very close by.

  • Roadside parking is strongly discouraged to avoid traffic congestion on our busy and narrow roads.
