Salt Spring Stingrays are featuring “Rookie Races” for swimmers in Div 4+ who are new to racing, or are not quite ready for 200 IM or 100 Back and Breast stroke events. These races are NOT for experienced racers and will be run as exhibition events.
There is a parent relay on Saturday so bring your bathing suits, goggles and caps and jump in and race for your team to the cheers of your kids and coaches!

Deadline for sign is Sunday July 17th at 10pm
When do we need there:

In-Pool warmup: 8:25 a.m.
Come find the coaches and they will let you know where activation is taking place!
We will have a team meeting and cheer 10 minutes after our pool warm ups are complete.
Novices will swim first on both days, Free and Fly on Saturday and Back and Breast on Sunday.
The meet officially begins at 10:00am on Saturday and 9:15am on Sunday.
If you are interested in Officiating please attend the Officials meeting 9:15am on Saturday and 8:30am on Sunday or just head out on deck and ask any of the Stroke and Turn judges if you can shadow them
You can keep track of events and results in real time using the handy Meet Mobile app. This is a yearly paid app but well worth it.
Each club is required to provide timers for every swim meet. It's a very simple job and offers the best seats in the house.
There will be a sign up for timing shifts posted at the pool. Every family who has more than one adult attending and/or has older kids who don't need constant supervision are expected to take a timing shift. The meet can not run if we don't fill the shifts!
You might also consider becoming an Official. The first step is to head on the deck and ask any of the Stroke and Turn judges if you can shadow them.
