SUMMER SPIRIT AWARDS

These awards are based on attitude, commitment, perseverance, sportsmanship, and attendance/behavior at practices. 

 

COACH AWARD: 

First Year swimmers only. Chosen by the Coaches, this award recognizes attitude, coachability, commitment, perseverance, sportsmanship, and attendance/behavior at practices.

MARCEL PORTIER AWARD:  

First year not eligible. Chosen by the Coaches, this award recognizes a swimmer who demonstrate oustanding work ethic, coachability and commitment.

SPIRIT OF THE PIRANHAS TAIT FAMILY AWARD:

This award recognizes the unsung heroes of the Piranha Swim Club and is given to a swimmer who has persistently worked hard over many, many numbers of years. Chosen by the Coaches, the criteria for this award is hard work and dedication, positive attitude and coachability.

These awards are chosen by the Coaches in consultation with the Awards Committee to recognize outstanding stroke technique and performance. Consideration will be given to the number of points earned for each stroke throughout the season, the competitiveness of the age category that year, dedication at practices, and attitude.
